摘要

Using public money to fund fossil fuel projects is getting harder, and not just for would-be developers of new coal-fired power plants. Those holding the purse strings at the world's multilateral development banks (MDBs) are increasingly aligning their lending models with the long-term climate goals of the UN's Paris accord, and diverting more cash toward low-carbon finance - lending in this area from the world's six-biggest MDBs hit a record $43 billion last year.
