Abstract >A review on the preparation methods for porous and transparent metal‐oxide electrodes is provided alongside a discussion of existing and possible electrochemical and electroanalytical applications. The elaboration routes include non‐templated particle deposition, template approaches, physical deposition methods, etching and electrospinning.
