Turkey’s coke imports slumped in January

Turkey cleared its lowest volume of petroleum coke since August 2015 in January, in line with weaker demand from the country’s cement sector. Turkey received just 207,400t of coke in January, accord- ing to the most recent data from Turkish statistical agency Tuik. The agency reports volumes that are cleared during the month, with the data not necessarily representative of total arrivals within a particular month.
