Petrobras refinery restart blocked by regulator

Brazil's state-controlled Petrobras is boosting gasoline and diesel imports to fill a supply gap after the company's plans to restart the fire-hit 415,000 b/d Paulinia (Replan) refinery were temporarily blocked by oil regulator ANP. It is not yet clear if the refinery outage will result in an increase in demand for petroleum coke imports. The refinery, Brazil's largest, accounts for about a third of Brazil's coke production. Brazilian cement makers had already been increasing imports so far this year on lower domestic supply.
