Anode coke: Prices show signs of stabilising

Anode-grade petroleum coke prices slipped further for some grades in July, but there were signs that the market is fnding a balance as excess supply in China winds down. A low-sulphur South American coke cargo closed in mid- July in the mid-$300s/t, a slightly higher level than expected a month ago when prices had been sinking. This was also well above levels that a trader was ofering for a relatively low-sulphur, low metals European green coke cargo.
