Refinery operations update

1. Shell began turnaround work today at its 147,000 b/d Puget Sound refinery in Anacortes, Washington. The refinery planned to shut an alkylation unit to work on it, according to a company filing with environmental regulators. Shell also restarted cogeneration equipment late last week following about a month of downtime. Alkylation units produce highoctane blendstocks that are used in gasoline.
