Westshore coal volumes up by 16pc through May

Canadian port operator Westshore Terminals handled 16pc more coal in the first five months of 2018 than it did a year earlier. The British Columbia-based terminal loaded 12.4mn t of coal through May, up from 10.7mn t in the same period during the prior year, the terminal said. Westshore expects to handle a total 30-30.5mn t of coal this year, up slightly from 29m t last year.
