India’s petroleum coke consumption fell for a second consecu- tive month in December after a court banned its use in the north of the country. Demand fell by 1.4pc to 1.88mn t last month from 1.91mn t in November, according to preliminary oil ministry data. The decline was far less pronounced than the 19pc drop in Novem- ber from 2.36mn t a month earlier, revised oil ministry fgures show.
