Fuel costs weigh on Ultratech’s margins

Rising petroleum coke costs shrunk Indian cement producer Ultratech’s profts in the most recent quarter. The company posted in the October-December period a net proft of 4.57bn rupees ($71.6mn), down by 23pc year- over-year, while its power and fuel costs rose to Rs.16.02bn ($251.3mn), a 51pc rise year-over-year, according to its latest earnings report.
