Mexico aims to overhaul refining by 2031: Sener

Mexico aims to process about 40pc more crude at its six re- fineries and add 275,000 b/d of refining capacity by 2031, the country’s energy ministry (Sener) said in its annual outlook. Sener did not detail how the country would finance the 17pc increase in capacity from today’s 1.6mn b/d but said that construction will start in 2026.
