Brazilian aluminium output edges lower in August

Brazil’s aluminium output fell in August compared with the same period last year, but total production remained stable over the frst eight months of the year. August output fell by 2pc compared with August 2016 to 67,700t. Brazil’s aluminium output in January-August totalled 534,000t, 1.7pc higher than the same period last year.
