Unipol Tower: Bologna is looking up

In the Middle Ages there were some 100 towers in Bologna. A New York "ante litteram", of which today the Asinelli Tower is the most famous evidence. Since then, the urban scenario has obviously changed considerably, a certain number of tall buildings were built, not many actually, but only one exceeded the "psychological limit" of the Asinelli Tower which is 97.2 metres high. We are talking about the 125m Unipol tower, which, as the designer Luca Drago (Open Project) explains, "was located northeast, outside the city boundary so as not to conflict with the iconic monument of the city."
