Investigation of Link Layer in Inter-Vehicle Wireless Communication

Wireless communication vehicle-to-vehicle (V2V) and vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I), as a means of improving crash prevention performance, have recently attracted significant attention from the research community [1-7]. V2V and V2I as a tool to disseminate information among vehicles can be used. Many new applications in the fields of vehicle safety, comfort and infotainment will be possible. Rapidly changing network topology and high mobility of the nodes have impact on throughput [1, 2], packet loss and other communication parameters. Therefore it is necessary to investigate communication conditions very accurately before engineering V2V and V2I communication systems.
