Who's Next? Understanding the Leadership Question in Family Business

Ask anyone who works with family businesses and they will tell you the issues that trouble their clients most are those concerning succession. Put more simply, the real question is who will be our leader after mom or dad, uncle or aunt? While the question of how do we get the current generation leader to step aside is related and often a point of challenge, it may well be that before that question can be productively answered, the issue of who's next should be addressed.
