A Proactive Approach OSHA: To Be Proactive or Reactive

As many of you know, ILMA is seeking to renew for the third time its Alliance with the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). The first ILMA/OSHA Alliance was established in 2004, soon after OSHA initiated its Alliance Program with companies, trade associations and unions. ILMA SHERA Committee leaders at the time, including Cathy Novak and Carol Poole, thought that ILMA should participate in this opportunity to emphasize nonregulatory approaches to worker safety.
