62% iron prices climbed above US$100/t during the third week of May—the first time they have done so since May of2014. 62% prices for the full month averaged US$99.35/t, but the last weeks of May (during and after the mid-month pricespike) saw 62% average US$102.67/t and finish the month at a comfortable US$99.70/t. Prices for 65% also rose, albeit ina more consistent and subdued manner, to average US$105.80/t for the month—rising above April's average ofUS$101.98/t. 58% prices continued to plod along at a widening discount, rising up from an April average of US$81.47/t toUS$84.77/t.
