Iron ore demand is set to gain traction from April, after winter production cuts in China came to an end and Chinesesteelmakers restart steel production. Winter steel production cuts lasted from October 2018 to March 2019, with furtherirregular cuts initiated throughout March when China’s Congress Meeting took place. Construction activity picks up inChina and Europe is set to support demand, albeit at a slower pace for the former, while current optimism in trade talkbetween US and China buoyed positive sentiments.
