Simulation of the Subsiding Process of an Iron Mined Area Using the Discontinuous Deformation Analysis Method

摘要

The subsiding process of an iron mined area is preformed by the discontinuous deformation analysis method in this paper. In the computation, the stepwise excavation is considered. The simulated results reveal the deformation of the mined area, as well as the surface displacement at different mining depths and the surface change after its subsidence. The calculation results can provide evidence for subsidence prevention and control strategies.
