Processor Allocation of a Ternary Optical Computer

摘要

There are many data-bits in the optical processor of a ternary optical computer (TOC). They can process many operation requests in parallel. Therefore, the problem of processor allocation is inevitable in the monitor system of the TOC. To solve the problem, the study firstly illustrated processor addressing, proposed a method of managing the optical processor, and presented an algorithm to allocate the optical processor on the basis of pixel-bit. The algorithm allocated the pixel-bits of the optical processor by proportion. In addition, the paper gave two important data structures, OR2AP and ARSLT. Finally, the algorithm was implemented in the monitor system. And an experiment was conducted to test the algorithm. The results illustrate that the proposed algorithm is feasible and correct.
