摘要

This paper proposes an analysis method of transmission error based on Monte Carlo simulation. First, the precision models of single gear and gear train are described. Then, by considering each error with its probability distribution law, the analysis of transmission error can accurately evaluate the transmission precision for mechanical watch movement by Monte Carlo simulation. The proposed method can intuitively obtain the distribution of gear transmission errors. It can also be used to adjust the precision level or tolerance specification of gears according to simulation value to avoid any waste in manufacturing resource to achieve unnecessary precision.
