摘要

A new concept is presented that the performance index of mechanical components can be described with a vector, and the characteristics of the value of the vector covariance matrix determinant and the sum of the covariance matrix diagonal in describing the vector dispersion of the performance index are studied and compared. Using the random vector to describe the geometric dimensioning index of the clutch diaphragm spring, adopting Monte-Carlo simulation method, and taking the pseudo-random vector samples with same average and different standard deviations for calculation and analysis, this paper studies the applicability of the covariance matrix determinant and the covariance matrix trace of the geometric dimensioning vector in describing the random vector dispersion.
