Seismic Performance of Stainless Steel Reinforced Concrete Columns

摘要

In order to investigate the seismic behavior of stainless steel reinforced concrete columns, the specimens including one column with ribbed ordinary steel rebar and three columns with ribbed stainless steel rebar are carried out in a series of pseudo-static cyclic tests, and the influence of axial compression ratio, types of steel bars and the stirrup ratio are considered. The tests results indicate that the damage of the specimens exhibit ductile failure characteristics, and the columns with stainless steel rebar appear good ductility for a lesser extent damage. The increase of stirrup ratio is beneficial to seismic behavior of the columns with stainless steel bars. With the increase in axial compression ratio, the yielding and ultimate displacements reduced, the damage becomes more serious.
