Theoretical Extraction of Wide-Fraction Plates from Tar Distillation

摘要

Coke tar is one of the most typical multi-component and extremely complex ingredients. Coke tar distillation tower process is currently applied to calculate the theoretical number of plates of a distillation column. The process is adopted in this study to cut out a wide fraction for the first time. Cutting out three kinds of fraction mixtures requires dividing the process into two sections. Each section consists of high, medium, and low key components. A P-T graph is then utilized to measure pressure and temperature and to obtain the operating line equation. Sectional plate-to-plate calculation is employed in each section for theoretical plate calculation. Results show that the three mixed fraction products meet the requirements or provisions of product quality indicators. Improvement of phenol and naphthalene concentration is also included in the in-depth discussions.
