摘要

Conductive composites with varying composition were prepared through In-situ polymerization of aniline in ethylene vinyl acetate (EVA) matrix. These composites exhibit composition dependent electrical and mechanical properties. The log conductivity of insulating polymer EVA (-12.2 mho/cm) can be increased to as high as for EVA/Pani composite (-3.8 mho/cm) having 134 wt% Pani. These composite can provide very good electromagnetic interference shielding effectiveness (EMI SE) especially when Pani concentration is high. EMI SE of these composites over X-band frequency (8-12 GHz) can reach a value 35 dB which increases further with increase in thickness. An exponential relationship between composite conductivity and EMI SE could be established.
