Relationship between the Level of Troponin and Some Trace Elements in Sera of Patients withHeart Disease

This paper describe the study of some biochemical parameters in (60 )patients with myocardial infarction(MI) and unstable angina(UA) treated in cardiac care unit(CCU) in Ibn Al - bitar hospital for cardiac surgery and (30 ) as control group , whose age range (50 ±10 ) for both sexes. Measuring parameters includes : Troponin (T,I ) , some of trace elements ( Fe, Cu , Zn and Ca). The results showed that there were Significantly increase (P <0.05 ) in troponin T , while troponin I showed highly significant increase (P < 0.05 ) in patients groups as compared to control group , also there were Significantly decrease (P< 0.05 ) in the level of Ca , Fe in patients with MI and UA when compared with control group and Significantly increase (P<0.05 ) in levels of Zn in patients with MI and non significantly difference in patients with UA when compared with control group and Significantly increase (P<0.05 ) in levels of Cu in patients with MI and UA when compared with control group . Finally , relationship between biochemical parameters understudy in patients groups using correlation coefficient shown that there were positive correlation between Tn I and TnT in patients with MI, UA.
