SUCCESSFUL TREATMENT OF DYSTOCIA DUE TO PEROSOMUS ELUMBIS FETAL MONSTER IN COW- A CASE REPORT

A seven years old non descript cow in fourth gestation was presented with the history of dystocia. Vaginal examination'revealed fetus was in anterior longitudinal presentation, dorso-sacral position with head twisted towards upward. By mutation and forced traction a monster fetus was delivered through birth canal. The calf had flexure and ankylosis of hind limbs and shoulders along with vertebral and pelvic malformations suggestive of arthogryposis. The observations indicated that defective fetus wasaffected with perosomus elumbis.
