Elbasan plant upgrades

Due to the dilapidated state of the plant at Elbasan when acquired in 1997, Seament has carried out a continuous maintenance programme to raise the plant to acceptable efficiency and environmental standards. In 2001 ECF became the first plant in Albania to achieve ISO 9001 status. An environmental programme has seen filtration and emission analysing equipment steadily introduced, Other improvements included the existing cement mills to closed circuit systems with hi-efficiency separators, weighfeeders, stock house & electrical infrastructure reflecting a total investment of 7.5 million US dollars.
