摘要

This article explores the significance of cross-diffusion effects on natural convection flow of a nanofluid in a vertical channel in the presence of viscous dissipation. By applying similarity transformations, the system of partial differential equations is converted into the system of ordinary differential equations. The resulting system of equations is solved analytically by Homotopy Analysis Method (HAM) and compared with the solution obtained by Adomian Decomposition Method (ADM). Also, the accuracy of the analytical results is validated by a quantitative comparison for a special case and the results are found to be in good agreement. In order to get an interesting feature of the problem, the effects of the physical parameters on dimensionless velocity, temperature, nanoparticle volume fraction and species concentration profiles are illustrated graphically and quantitatively.
