Novel Tools for the Study of Symbol Semantic Model for Conceptual Design Support

摘要

By analyzing the diversity and comparability of product function and structure information, we bring forward the concept of symbol unit. Symbol unit can help the designers express the creative ideas, and its shape-carrier function and rich high-level engineering semanteme can help idealizing the unification of the high-level function description and the low-level geometrical description. This concept will provide a unified symbol object data model covering instance object and class object, and, with semanteme, describe symbol units and their relations, realizing the formalization the abstraction representation of symbol unit. Practice shows that, this system is simple, practical, reliable, and supporting the product conceptual design.
