摘要

The potential impacts of Thermal Regulation of the construction in Morocco (RTBM) on heating and cooling energy demand were investigated by means of MATLAB/SIMULINK and BINAYATE. BINYATE is the first software dedicated to the diagnosis of energy performance of buildings and control of compliance with Moroccan thermal regulation. The total energy consumption was evaluated using thermal model of an apartment located in Casablanca developed in MATLAB/SIMULINK for two configurations: the first one correspond to typical apartment to be called base case, which refers to construction commonly used in Morocco and the second one correspond to the construction built according to the Thermal Regulation of the Construction in Morocco (RTCM). The results reveal that applying the Thermal Regulations reduce the cooling load by 32% and the heating load by 44% compared to the base case. More reduction can be reached when using more efficient lighting and electric equipment, which achieve 73% of total energy.
