Trade talks between the USA and the EU raise hopes

The EU States have given the EU Commis- sion the green light to begin trade talks with the USA, which will be about the cancella- tion of duties on industrial products and about the alignment of technical specifica- tions on both sides of the Atlantic. According to Jean-Claude Junker, President of the EU Commission, the elimination of such duties could increase the reciprocal exports of goods by around 26 billion euros in each case by the year 2033.
