PRICHASTODETIE (GERUNDIVUM) AND ITS ROLE IN THE RUSSIAN HISTORICAL WORD FORMATION

摘要

The authors of the article substantiated the assumption of existence of a special verbal formation in the Old Russian literary language with the suffix -tel'no, named "prichastodetie" in M.S motritsky's The Grammar, which had the meaning similar to the Latin gerundive. Prichastodetie became the basis for the formation of adjectives ending in -tel'nyi.
