Data sharing between multiple departments can improve data utilization; decision making; and public services. How to share these data reasonably and effectively is not only a technical issue; but also an organizational and policy challenge.?Centralized sharing is the aggregation of data from multiple departments; which is managed by a single government department. This paper takes the Ningbo government cloud data center as an example to analyze the problems and obstacles of centralized sharing; including security; privacy; benefits; and permissions issues.?This paper proposes a blockchain-based government big data distributed sharing mechanism; highlights some benefits that blockchain technology could bring; and gives practical recommendations based on a real case.;
