摘要

The Commerce Department is considering a list of proposed policy changes aimed at strengthening the enforcement of U.S. trade laws - though some trade lawyers argue they could be overly restrictive for foreign exporters. The five-page draft list, obtained by Inside U.S. Trade, includes changes that a group of attorneys believes the agency should make to its regulations, administrative processes and non-market economy approach. The group met with Gilbert Kaplan, under secretary of Commerce for international trade, in mid-June to pitch the list and was asked to whittle it down to a package of 10 "high priority" items, one source told Inside U.S. Trade.
