House Ways & Means members push USTR to lift 232 tariffs 'as soon as possible'

A bipartisan group House Ways & Means Committee members is calling on the Trump administration to lift steel and aluminum tariffs on its neighbors before Congress votes on the U.S.-Mexico-Canada Agreement. "We write today to urge you to reach a negotiated solution regarding the Section 232 steel and aluminum tariffs on Mexico and Canada as soon as possible," the group wrote in a Dec. 18 letter to U.S. Trade Representative Robert Lighthizer.
