Thiough quantitative measurements of sealant structure and flow behavior, rheology helps formulators understand the relationship between formulation components and their impact on application properties. This article demonstrates the link between raw material variables and the rheological and application properties of formulated sealants, beginning with a brief introduction to rheological terms relevant to sealants.
