China's refractory materials output down 24.98% in Q1 2020

China's refractories output fell to 4.10 million tonnes in the first quarter of 2020, mainly due to a slowdown in production caused by the response to the Covid-19 outbreak. Most refractory raw materials prices were already on a downward trend because of falling demand. China produced 4.10 million tonnes of refractory materials in the first quarter of 2020, according to data from the China Association of Refractories. This was down by 24.98% from the 5.47 million tonnes produced in the first quarter of 2019.
