It is known that fuel dealers are justifiably focused on their valuation (aka enterprise value). There are many reasons, including credit lines, lending for equipment and infrastructure, funding for acquisitions and stock pricing for employee stock ownership plan (ESOP) programs or generational succession plans. Given the critical nature of valuation, it is surprising that it rarely gets talked about by tech vendors who serve our industry. These vendors (MPX included) are, after all, expected to deliver solutions that can fill a need. The value of a dealer's business must be right near the top of the list of these needs. So, why the void in conversation?
