The Technology Inherent in Indian Traditional Craft Metal Casting Process

Indian sub-continent holds a very sophisticated cast metal craft traditions from ancient age (especially Copper age). In this tradition, thin-walled hollow products (thickness less than 2 mm) are produced. The technology behind the tradition discovered and vindicated by some experiments. Quality of the cast products of the visited site also was taken into account to understand the technology.
