DR K. N. SHARMA (1929-2015)

The whole medical fraternity of the Nation is profoundly aggrieved at the untimely demise of Professor Kamal Nath Sharma. Dr. K. N. Sharma was a prodigious researcher and internationally acclaimed physiologist of the country who passed away in Bengaluru on 21 June 2015. He is survived by his wife Dr. Sushil Dua Sharma. He was a doyen of Neurophysiology who continued to guide, steer and advise students, researchers and faculty alike in strive for excellence in teaching and research throughout the nation and abroad. He had been the winner of numerous national and international awards, accolades, and prizes, and had authored numerous research publications and chapter in books. With the demise of Professor Sharma, India has lost one of her outstanding scientists par excellence.
