Varietal requirements to meet challenging needs in groundnut, Arachea hypogea Linn.

摘要

The new emerging cropping pattern in which spring groundnut is grown during March-June after the harvest of Potato/toria is growing momentum in Punjab, Uttar Pradesh (Meerut) and West Bengal (Hoogly). It needs to be given special consideration to topvast potential of spring groundnut. To meet the biotic/abiotic stresses, aflatoxin contamination and productivity constraints there is need to develop groundnut varieties to suit to land in conditions through Hybridization Programme and newly emerging non-Traditional production systems.
