Indian Producers Poised to set new Global Green Benchmarks

CII- Godrej GBC in partnership with Cement Manufacturer's Association (CMA) organised the 14th edition of Green Cementech 2018 on May 17-18, 2018 at Hyderabad. While addressing the delegates at the 14th CII-CMA Green Cementech 2018, KC Jhanwar, Deputy Managing Director, UltraTech Cement Limited, underlined that, with growing demand, Indian cement industry has to identify innovative solutions to address challenges and set example for other sectors. He also highlighted that cement sector has to play a critical role in achieving sustainable development goals (SDGs) on climate change and sustainable production and consumption. Jhanwar said that cement sector has achieved excellent levels of energy efficiency, but still lot has to be done.
