Geared motors help machine builder increase reliability and efficiency

Extracting pure oil from olives is a complex and energy intensive process that entails operations such as cleaning, mixing the paste and separating the solids from the liquids. Pieralisi, the only company to manufacture industrial machinery for every step of this process, turned to WEG geared motors to reduce installation time and increase energy efficiency, durability and productivity. Established in 1988 in Monsano, Italy, Pieralisi produces as many as 900 complete systems for the whole olive oil production process per year and is the leading producer of this type of machinery not only in Italy and Spain but also worldwide. At one of its major plants, in Zaragoza, Spain, the company recently sought WEG's support to address some of the issues associated with the machinery drive chain.
