Contraceptive issues of youth and adolescents in developing countries: highlights from the Philippines and other asian countries.

This article highlights contraceptive issues in Asia, home to some 700 million adolescents. It starts with a description of the socio-cultural milieu of Asian adolescents, their knowledge and use of contraceptives, barriers to contraceptive use, and a description of current efforts to broaden contraceptive availability.
