ALL ABOUT NATIVE SILVER

If silver is a lot more common in the earth's crust, and silver ores are generally richer in the metal than gold ores are in gold, why aren't metallic silver nuggets more common than gold nuggets? The answer is a long one and we are going to take a closer look at natural metallic or "native" silver. The truth is that native silver exists, but it is far rarer than gold. Most silver occurs in the form of sulfide minerals, and other times it is found in the form of chloride minerals. Native silver exists but it's unusual. I've always wanted to metal detect a native silver specimen, but I've never had any luck with that so far. I've detected several thousand gold nuggets over the years, but not one silver nugget.
