The quality of aesthetic surgery training in plastic surgery residency

To the Editor: The author, currently a Stanford University Department of Plastic Surgery resident, has to be congratulated for having undertaken the effort to highlight the availability and perceived quality of aesthetic surgery training within the different German plastic surgery training programs. The survey consisted of 17 questions and covered demographic information, current status of aesthetic surgery training, and the respondent's perception regarding the quality of aesthetic surgery training among 112 senior residents (above PGY 4) . The author believes that the following 3 reasons for a deficit in the aesthetic surgery training reported by senior residents apply:
