In-car communication security

Car bus communication channels such as CAN and Flexray have been protected from the threat of unauthorized access since the first Autosar standards introduced authentication schemes. The need for trustworthy communication is higher today than ever before. As a consequence, encryption and hard authentication schemes were introduced in Autosar 4.2.1 and 4.3, respectively.
