The flourishing demand for Australian wine in China is showing no signs of abating in the immediate future.What isn't so certain is whether the long-held preference for corked wine products by Chinese consumers and distributors will ever be shaken. With most Australian producers having enthusiastically adopted screwcaps over recent decades to enormous marketsuccess domestically, the Chinese bias has, arguably, helped French producers edge out their competition to maintain their position as the dominant suppliers of 'luxury' premium wine in China.
