Supported by a tight supply-demand situation world-wide, the cotton market will probably continue to rise in the immediate future. Concerns about the effects of SARS and trade suspension by speculators temporarily pushed down cotton prices earlier, but prices have recently begun to reflect the actual supply-demand picture. The proedominant view among cotton dealers is: "Cotton prices will probably rise to 65 cents for December deliveries."
