What is important for functional materials and processing that focus on cleanliness and hygiene is the objectivity and reliability of test methods and evaluation standards that ensure functionality objectively.As a proof of this,the presence of the”SEK Mark”certified by the Japan Textile Evaluation Technology Council (JTETC)is significant.Last September,the SEK Mark celebrated its 30th anniversary.Among the various SEK marks,those for antibacterial and antimicrobial finished products are probably the most popular in the textile industry.In addition,the marks for antiviral and antifungal finished products are gradually coming into widespread use,and those for deodorant and soil-resistant finished products are recently gathering attention.
